Self Description
            Tutoring English language secondary-level students from a Chinese medium school, ranging from weak to satisfactory level, in 4 aspects (speaking, grammar, reading, writing). These students, being non-native speakers, need guidance from the basics of the language so this job requires patience in guiding students with lower competency in the language. Teaching from Starter to Advanced level. I'm in charged of students of mostly the Advanced levels and am the level head for Advanced 1. Teaching Junior 3 & Senior 3 students (equivalent to public school's Form 3 & Form 6), I'm preparing students to sit for their UEC examination. I'm also coaching a student to participate in a Trilingual Speech competition for Independent Chinese Schools in Malaysia. This job allows opportunity to incorporate my own teaching materials, as I prepare my own Powerpoint slides and notes to help weaker students. Hence I am able to adapt to individual student's capability. As classes are conducted based of proficiency of the students in the language rather than according to their individual/conventional classes, it offers me the the opportunity to practice class management and to learn to adapt according to their personal ability and talents. Class activities can be constantly conducted to gauge students' understanding and knowledge of the study material. I am also able to teach mathematics as I have received A1 for both Modern maths & Add Maths for SPM, in addition to credits for Math in college.
