Self Description
            I,Norazrin Bt Zamri, a 24 year-old Degree holder in Bachelor of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages am determined to offer my expertise in the field to any students who need guidance when it comes to improving their English language proficiency. I studied in Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in a twinning programme with a Malaysian Teacher Training Institute in KL (International Teacher Training Institute, Lembah Pantai). I graduated with first class honour degree. I am currently a postgraduate student taking Masters in English as a Second Language (MESL) in the University of Malaya. I had experience in teaching English in a secondary school in PJ for 4 months as a trainee English teacher. I am also an ex-lecturer in UiTM KEDAH for one term. I taught 3 course to the Diploma students there. The courses that i taught were: 1- Consolidating Language Skills 2- Mainstream English II 3- Preparatory Course for MUET The teaching methods that i employ are fun, task-based, drills, problem-solving, inductive & deductive approach to learning grammar, etc. I would first determine the students' interests and levels in order to devise activities and lesson plans. I will use the students' interests to find relevant materials that can grab the students' attention. I am also determined to teach students how to maximise the use of dictionary and printed mass media in order to improve students' English proficiency and vocabulary development.
Proven Track Record
            I have helped all of my Diploma students, who have low proficiency in English, in all the 3 classes in UiTM Kedah to pass their English courses. 10% of each class got As in the courses that they registered.
Achievement
           I obtained straight As (8) for my PMR. I got 8As 1B for my SPM, (BM=A1, English= A1, Maths= A1, Agama Islam= A1, History= A1, Biology= A1, Chemistry= A2, Add Maths= A2, Physics= B4. Undergraduate= I graduated with first class honour degree in B.ED TESOL from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. My pointer was 8 out of 9. 9= a+, 8= A, 7=A-. In short, I got A's for most of the subjects I took during degree studies. When converted to Malaysian CGPA system, my CGPA would be around 3.9/4.0
