Self Description
            I have about a year of experience in home tuition for lower secondary levels and primary levels. With my experience in a learning center, i can also handle primary school students well. Due to the pressure from the society these days, paper chase is a norm. Thus, academic results are of a certain degree of importance to everyone. However, i do not agree in plain memorising nor drilling the students. Personally, i believe that studying is about understanding accompanied by practise would suffice. As a recent student, i strongly believe i can relate better to complications and difficulties faced by students these days. Tuition serves as an opportunity for the students to enquire more for better understanding of subjects that they study in school. To me, students are also given an opportunity to question and gain a wider knowledge in their studies generally during tuition sessions. Learning is a lifelong process, it should never be restricted to only the school syllabus. My teaching method mainly involves mind mapping and interactive activities in class even when there is only one student. This helps students to remember what they have learned better.

            I have helped students who could barely pass their subjects to obtaining A’s for their tuition subjects.
