Self Description
            Having taught at a private college, I have had the privilege of working with students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds, as well as with those with English as a second language. This has given me the opportunity to develop effective teaching strategies, various activities and evaluation methods that encompass different learning styles, encourage critical and analytical thinking, and tap into each student's creativity, as well as independence of thought. Although my lessons will obviously be focused and results-oriented, they will also have an element of fun and may include relevant magazine and newspaper articles, case studies, thought labs and activities that are connected to the topics at hand. My strong background in academic scientific research also puts me in a unique position to impart to my students the importance of science and the scientific method, and to help them develop good laboratory and research skills. The knowledge acquisition and success of my students remain my highest priority and I am fully committed in ensuring that they have a solid grounding in the subject matter and are well-prepared for further education.
