"Empowering your children for a better tomorrow"
Self Description
I am an experience University lecturer with 4 years of experience in lecturing at private university in Kuala Lumpur. I have lectured to undergraduate students at Taylors university and Swinburne university, teaching in several engineering subjects including engineering mathematics, engineering mechanics, control engineering, manufacturing technology and computer programming. I enjoy teaching at the same time I engage my students to learn through practical approach. This method is to empower the students to develop a mental aptitude towards progressive learning. I cannot guarantee their academic results would change overnight, but gradually their learning attitude and ability would change and hence they would develop an independent thought towards the subjects they learn. I am not available to teach over the weekdays, as I am currently a full-time engineer. I believe most of my students have a rewarding experience with me hopefully they can understand that just passing or scoring well in their subject would be the only motive to their learning, but also to develop their ability to tackle the challenges they would face in their future workplace. I genuinely would like to help any children from all races to develop their full potential. I choose this not only to earn an additional income but at the same time to develop a better understanding towards children's mindset towards learning.
Proven Track Record
Supervised and mentor over 200 undergraduate students with over 30 different types of engineering design projects that are motivational, entrepreneurial, research and industrial linked. This would involve automotive design of a car to general household consumer products and sustainable technology including solar, wind and hydroelectric. Improved student’s learning outcome and overall academic performance from a 50% to a 93% pass rate by introducing a new learning system which involve a peer to peer session with weaker students (Peer Assisted Student Session, PASS), by micromanaging, consulting and obtaining feedback during the end of each class.
Achievement
Obtained a scholarship to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering from the university of birmingham. Obtained a scholarship to continue researching at the university of birmingham. awarded an engineering merit award at Imperial college.
