Self Description
            I have been teaching for 9 years, that is ever since i finished form 5. I 'm from an English speaking background, but i understand the problems second language speakers face and can and will help them face them. Maths is a subject that requires a lot of practice and guidance, plus loads of patience. I will provide the guidance and help in the other 2 areas. Together, we will build for your child's academic betterment
Proven Track Record
            I have helped my student, Janarthan, from Teluk Intan, Perak who was quite bad in English, in his PMR. He couldn't speak and his English was broken. After learning under me for 9 months, he obtained an A for English. In 2011, I helped my student. She could not write at all. She had ideas, but no words to match the thoughts. I had to start from the basics, She sat for he UPSR and got a B. From D in trials to B in UPSR, what an achievement. It was all her had work. I only guided her. I also helped another student, Lariena obtain A's in all the subjects that i thaught her. She was doing her PMR and I was giving her lessons for BM, BI and Maths. She was from the second last class, but people did'nt guess that when they saw her results. Now she is in science stream and doing quite well. I recently helped another student Chan Yu Ni. She was very poor in English. I did a lot of practice in spelling, writing and comprehension with her. Her exams have just finished and she is waiting for the results. Her progress has been remarkable. She has improved in her understanding and he spoken English as well.
Achievement
           I have a degree in TESL.I have won the consolation prize in a national level English essay competition and numerous scrabble competitions. IN the novice category in 2009, I won 5th place. Recently in June 2012, I took p[art in the national level Scrabble competition and took part in the Intermediate category. I only got 16th place. Need to do a bit of brushing up on Scrabble.
