Self Description
            As your concern, my degree course has developed my academic knowledge of Teaching English as a Second Language, specifies in language aspects such as grammar, language structure, linguistics, sociolinguistics, phonetics, and also the four language skills. It also emphasizes on psychology, counseling, assessment and curriculum and instruction. This course has introduced and gave me the picture on the importance of English language in today’s world and on how to educate students the best way to ensure they would be able to master English language This course has also developed my communication and interaction skills. In addition it also provides me opportunity to involve in social works such as motivation camps and counseling workshop. Thus I hope that I could apply all the knowledge, skills and experience gained from this course to educate the students both academically and interpersonally. I was given an opportunity to experience teaching as I had undergone 10 weeks of teaching practicum at SMK Seksyen 24 (2), Shah Alam Selangor. This teaching practicum sets as a part of the requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Education (Hons) in the Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL). There, I taught 2 form 2 classes and was actively involved with other schools activities. Although the teaching experiences that I have gained is not that much but I believe that it has helped me in preparing myself to face the challenging world of teaching and learning.
