Self Description
            I am very friendly and an easy going person. I enjoy teaching the fun way. I always incorporate my lesson with literature and pop culture so as to make the lessons more interesting. Sometimes I use movies, songs and role plays to help the students build confidence in themselves to communicate using English in their daily activities.
Proven Track Record
            I taught poetry to pre-University students who had no experience in dealing with poems especially the ones written in English. We did a lot of discussions, games and role play and from the feedback given, I knew they really enjoyed the class. During their mid-term exam, they scored very well in the subject. Some of them came to me at the end of my tenure as a part-time teacher and told me that they have finally found the courage to start writing their poems.
Achievement
           I graduated with a CGPA of 3.45 and I was ranked the 3rd out of 98 students who graduated with the same course from IIUM in 2005. Throughout the 4 years of my undergraduate studies, I had always been in the top 5 group for every semester. I am now pursuing M.A in English Literature and my current GPA is 3.5. I expect to graduate in March 2011. I scored band 8 for IELTS.
