Self Description
            Dr. Thavamaran recently returned to Malaysia and joined one of the prominent government R&D centre to manage and lead on Engineering related projects, while he also actively travels to American and European Universities for guest lectures and as well as conducts part time lectures at local universities. Prior to that, he carried out his lectureship and research at Aston University, Birmingham for over a year, where he actively taught Bachelors and Masters Students. Dr. Thava completed his PhD in 2013 at University of Northumbria, Newcastle where he was graduate research associate and conducted active lectures in the area of Electrical Engineering for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, with additional part-time tutoring.
Proven Track Record
            1. Completed PhD in 2 years and 11 months with 12 high impact publications at Northumbria Uni, Newcastle, UK. Start date Apr 2010, Completed Feb 2013. Skipped Masters degree and joined PhD directly by special recommendation of Dr. Thava's supervisor under UK University scholarship, therefore completed his PhD at very young age of 26, back in 2013. 2. Taught at Northumbria University, UK for undergraduate and achieved more than 87% for National Student Survey, which is a private medium for students to provide life feedback on their respective lecturers. 3. Published more than 20 papers in highest impact journal and conference papers under 4 years. Presented conference papers across top conferences in the USA, Europe and Australia. 4. Supervised and taught Masters and PhD students extensively, ranging from European, American to Arab students. 5. Provided guest lecture by special invitation at the top Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, top 10 best Engineering schools in the USA. The topic that I covered during the lecture is confidential as the patent application is underway. 6. Provided private tutoring for undergraduate students at Northumbria, Newcastle for Digital Signal Processing and Optical Fiber Communications, whereby all of them achieved first class honours.
