Self Description	I grew up with English as a first language at home. I was always interested in the language and used to help my classmates at school. I believe we learn better when there is a desire to learn, not just to pass exams. I've been involved in teaching English in Thailand and China before I finished school or decided this is what I wanted to do. I've taught in a secondary school in East Malaysia. I'm also a facilitator for an international empowerment program. I also have experience proofreading and editing assignments and dissertations. My approach is very personal, and based on the needs of the student. I also hope to be able to empower them to take charge of their own learning, a very useful skill for their future as they won't be too dependent on others.
Proven Track Record
Achievement	I obtained an A1 in English for my SPM as well as Band 6 in MUET. I then went on to study Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)in Universiti Malaysia Sabah before continuing my Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at the University of Liverpool, UK.I also obtained a Band 9 in IELTS before going to the UK.
