Self Description I am a full time teacher teaching in Sek. Sri Inai Senior, which is currently known as Sek. Sri Pinang Senior in Penang for the last 25 years. I'll be retiring in Jan'09 and wish to become a fulltime tutor. I've trained my pupils well to cope with PMR and SPM Examinations. I've also done teaching for IGCSE Science, English and Biology and have been exposed to the subject contents in those areas. I prefer to use the best method for achieving the best result. I also use the internet where it best serves my purpose. For me a slight improvement in student progress is a milestone achievement as a tutor. Children should be trained to think critically and analytically. Therefore we have to use the right approach to enable and initiate this way of thinking. Children should also be creative and original in expression. Therefore rigid school programs leaning towards passing examinations fail to produce children with real initiative to excel in life. Learning to me should be such that the child is equipped to face all aspects of life not just to pass examinations!
Proven Track Record I have helped students even the weak ones to attain their maximum level of achievement in the subjects I taught for the past 25 years in my present school. However, I've 6 earlier years of teaching as well before, where I gathered some experience as a young teacher and I've been growing ever since. I also do writing as a hobby in writer's blogs when I have the time or inspiration
Achievement I got a grade 1 in my OSC/MCE in 1968. Did my Pre-university and degree in Science in Bangalore, India. I did my Dip.Ed in New Zealand to become a qualified teacher. I am good in debates and writing.
