Self Description I grow up in an English speaking family but I attended Chinese schools until form 6 (UEC level). I graduated from Monash University with a degree in Medical Bioscience. I've worked as a home tutor for my neighbours for about 1.5 years. I've dealt with students with really poor results (especially in Maths ) and helped them to pass or score in their PMR. I have plenty of experience dealing with students with learning difficulties. I have my own transport and am willing to travel to their house. I have a strong sense of responsibility, punctuality and am very patient. I love working with people and have no problem communicating or teaching in Chinese, BM or English. I make friends with my students and tend to explain difficult scientific terms by simple words. Yet again, its a case by case assesment. I approach every students differently and cater to their individual needs. I treat all my students equally but I pay extra attention to the weaker ones. I believe in non-violence approach. I encourage my students to be more assertive and voice out their opinions. Question asking is highly encouraged in my class. Also, students do better when they are praised. I gained extreme satisfaction when I am told that my students scored in their exams.
