Self Description Having had brought up in the United Stated during my childhood, I was able to grasp English almost as if it is my first language. As I had continued to pursue my undergraduate degree in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, I was able to further enrich my English capability both on paper as well as by tongue via classes and interactions with fellow colleagues and professors. During my University days, I was a Calculus Tutor employed by Vanderbilt University to help students who needed extra assistance after class hours. I was also the resident advisor and a year later promoted to become a head resident advisor to my dorm. I interact closely with students in terms of academia and peer support. My take in educating is both right the first time and mistakes is the best lesson, only if lesson is learnt. With younger students, I find analogies, examples, pictures, diagrams and gentle repetition helps them understand better. Not to mention, practice is very important, especially when it comes to PMR and SPM candidates. Only practice can prepare the student in terms of time and pressure. As for Pre-University students, understanding context and basic fundamentals is crucial. As only with a strong foundation can the student be able to derive to a solution at the next level.
Proven Track Record
Achievement I graduated from Vanderbilt University, USA with a CGPA of 3.66/4.0 double majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. I was awarded with a Magna Cum Laude upon graduation and was also invited to join the honorary Engineering Society of Tau Beta Pi. Prior to my undergraduate, I received 8A's PMR, 2001 and 10A's in SPM, 2003. I was awarded Best Technical Stream Student by my secondary school, Sek. Men. Sains Tun Syed Sheh Shahabudin. During my schooling, I was in the debate team representing the school at national level between other boarding schools. During the year 2001, I was entered into the Mathematics Olympiad.
