Self Description WHO AM I: Selamat sejahtera everyone. My name is Cikgu Umi Halawati. I'm a full time home tutor. I have been teaching for a few years. I would like to teach BM,and Math for primary and secondary schools. I'm caring and will make sure that you or your child will gain something new every lesson. Besides education, I'll concern about their progress and also their behavior. I'll make them interested in the subjects and make sure that they understand before memorizing all of the facts. Before we start, I like to establish a friendship with my students so that they will be at ease around me and not hesitate to ask questions. This is also so that I will be able to determine their current command of the subject. I can teach from any reference and/or text book that they currently own, but will also recommend others which I find suitable. Everybody has a different learning pace, so I will teach according to their individual needs. I like to make sure that they have a complete understanding of the topic at hand before moving on to the next. I know well that the learning process never stops. One should not study simply to pass exams as this attitude will not bode well past secondary school. I always encourage my students to do the best that they can as I truly believe that they are capable of so much more TEACHING AND TUTORING EXPERIENCE: I have 4 years of experience teaching at Komuniti College. My medium of conversation and teaching may vary, from English, Bahasa Malaysia, depending on the request of the parents and students. TRAVEL AREA: I am willing to travel at Negeri Sembilan surrounding areas. I have my own transport. AVAILABLE TIME: Monday to Friday (after 5pm) TUITION RATE: Negotiable Teaching format: I prefer to teach on a one-on-one basis for complicated subjects such as further maths to ensure the student grasp the knowledge better. Besides that, I will also be able to analysis the student's weakness and strategize a method to ensure his/her understanding. I have also done group tuition before but only for simpler subjects. My method of teaching is to understand the students ability and help the students to reach it. I will also periodically check the students progress in school and assist them if they face problems.
